Pooja, once you get married, you become responsible, not only for yourself but for all of the new family. It gets very difficult at times to manage shows well both at career level and marriage. SO I personallhy feel, its better to stick to one and do full jsutice to it rather than trying to juggle between things and getting no where.

There are successful women who have reached a good height career wise, but when it comes to family , I’m sure most of them will regret not having able to spend much time with loved ones because of work.

I don’t mean any of this Sharmila. It is my personla opinion. For any successful man or woman, there has to be some sort of a support, if you get that support after marriage, you can continue working, or else,who do you expect would take care of your aging Parents in law and then your children... You wouldn’t like them to go to old age homes or cruch!!!

As much as it is a woman’s responsibility to take care of parents and kids, it is also the man’s. you haven’t said this but i guess when a man can work and earn, he can also take care of parents and kids...its just about time management and balancing your personal and professional life. How much ever time you spend with your family, face it, no one would want you around if you din’t have money.

You are true to an extent.Although I had none of these views until married, but marriage has changed my ideology. Marriage is like a balance. Both man and woman have equal responsibilites but circumsatnces become such that it gets difficult for woman to handle all things. Our society is such that women are expected to be multitaskers. And in keeping up all the expectatitons it gets difficult to continue on work.

Actually, woman’s job is always undermined. To handle a household, is the most diffcult and most thank less job in the world. It requires management skilss just as any organisation. But yes, the money part is missing!!
